This agreement, which was finalized during the 8th Leadership Development Program held at Victoria University, Australia, offers up to 30% scholarships on tuition fees to staff, their children, and close relatives from financial institutions affiliated with BFIN.

The MoU was signed between Dr. Binod Atreya, Managing Director of BFIN, and Monty Singh, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global) of Victoria University.

This collaboration marks a significant achievement in providing enhanced educational opportunities for Nepal’s financial community, enabling them to pursue higher education in a diverse range of academic programs at Victoria University.

“We are excited to collaborate with Victoria University in offering these scholarships, which will provide BFIN members with access to a world-class education. This partnership strengthens our commitment to fostering professional growth in Nepal’s financial sector,” said Dr. Binod Atreya.

The MoU was signed during the prestigious 8th Leadership Development Program, a platform that brings together senior executives from Nepal’s banking, finance, and insurance sectors to enhance their leadership skills. The event, hosted by Victoria University, served as the perfect venue to formalize this academic partnership, further cementing ties between the two institutions.

Looking ahead, this partnership opens up new avenues for members of BFIN to elevate their professional and academic qualifications.

With the scholarships becoming available in early 2025, staff and their families can look forward to pursuing higher education in Melbourne, experiencing world-class learning environments, and bringing invaluable knowledge and skills back to Nepal’s financial sector.

This opportunity is a key step in empowering the next generation of leaders in banking and finance.
