Chitwan. Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said that he is not in the mood to join the government right now. Talking to journalists here today, he mentioned that he is focused on going to the people and understanding the problems of the people.

He said, “I am not in the mood to join the government right now. My focus is on going to the people, understanding the problems of the people and solving their problems.” He said that now is the time to move forward by correcting the shortcomings of the party.

When asked by journalists whether the monarchy can return, Chairman Nepal said that he would not turn back the wheel of history. Targeting former King Gyanendra Shah, he said that there was no benefit in bringing in monarchy and held the view that effective work can be done if individuals have good feelings and plans.

President Nepal said that Nepalis are in a position to run our country, move it forward, protect the country’s honor, self-respect and freedom on their own. He stressed that the government should be positive about the teachers’ demands and solve the problem.

Nepal also urged the government to implement the agreements reached over the years. He said, “This is an issue related to the future of students. The government should show readiness to resolve it.”
