Kathmandu. Monsoon winds are generally affecting the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of the province. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is also likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces this afternoon, according to a press release issued by the Meteorological Forecasting Division today.
Light rain/snow is likely to occur at a few places of the high-hilly and mountainous regions of the country. According to the Division, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province and Sudur Pashchim Province and at one or two places of Karnali Province and Sudur Pashchim Province.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi Province, Madhes Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province. Light rain/snow is likely to occur at a few places of the high-hilly and mountainous regions of the country.
At present, monsoon winds are affecting some parts of Koshi Province, Madhes Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province. Also, there is partial influence of westerly wind and local wind in the western part of the country. According to the Division, the low pressure area formed in the vicinity of West Bengal in India has also partially affected.
