LIC Nepal loses credibility by Rs 7.46 billion in 6 months

Kathmandu. Policy surrenders of life insurance companies have increased by the end of the fiscal year. In the first six months of the current fiscal year 2081.082, 54,414 insureds of 14 life insurance companies surrendered insurance worth 7.46 billion 6.672 million.

Life Insurance Corporation Nepal (LIC) is among those with the highest policy surrenders. According to the data of the Nepal Insurance Authority, LIC has surrendered 13,968 insurance policies worth 2.38 billion 59 million 56 thousand rupees.

Similarly, National Life Insurance Company has surrendered 7,207 insurance policies worth 676 million rupees.

Met Life has surrendered 3,104 insurance policies worth 465.1 million rupees, while Sanima Reliance Insurance has surrendered 942 policies worth 131.2 million rupees.

Similarly, Asian Life Insurance has surrendered 468.1 million rupees. While National Life Insurance has surrendered 3,104 policies worth Rs. 465.1 million.

12,241 insureds of Nepal Life have surrendered policies worth Rs. 2.23 billion. Suryajyoti Life Insurance has surrendered 2,940 policies worth Rs 389.4 million.

Himalan Life has surrendered 3,590 policies worth Rs 332.3 million, while IME Life Insurance has surrendered 908 policies worth Rs 98.6 million.

Citizen Life Insurance has surrendered 1,388 policies worth Rs 115.8 million, while Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life has surrendered 703 policies worth Rs 98.2 million. Reliable Life Insurance has surrendered 863 policies worth Rs 55.6 million.

Also, Sun Nepal Life Insurance has surrendered 361 policies worth Rs 35.2 million.
