Kathmandu. Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that no one has the right to abolish the democratic constitution. He said this while addressing a Gandaki-level security seminar in Pokhara on Friday.

He said that everyone has the right to peacefully carry out activities within the freedom granted by the constitution. He informed that if the government, any party or leader is not liked, it can be defeated through elections.

He pointed out the ongoing protests in support of former King Gyanendra and warned that one should act within democracy. He said that everyone should be aware of this as coercive and destructive activities lead the country towards instability. He said that it is the responsibility of the government and everyone to control such activities and protect the democratic republic.

Home Minister Lekhak warned the service recipients not to create problems when the concerned bodies provide services. He said that the service should be provided after checking whether the service recipient has the necessary documents at the beginning.

He said that half of the problems of the service recipients will be solved if the employees do not feel embarrassed while providing services and behave well. Ensuring a stable government in the country, Home Minister Lekhak said that the goal of the current government is to achieve sustainable peace, good governance and prosperity of development in the country through a federal democratic republican system.
