Bhaktapur. One worker was injured in the first landslide on suryabinayak-Sanga section of Araniko highway today. The workers were injured when a dry landslide buried them under a suspension bridge at Suyabinayak Municipality-10, Sanga, which is a very risky place during the ongoing road expansion in Jagati-Sanga section and Sanga-Dhulikhel section of Bhaktapur.
Tulara Tharu, 52, a resident of Barbardiya municipality-5 in Bardiya district and currently living in Suryabinayak-9, Palase, was injured in the incident, according to the District Police Range, Bhaktapur. The injured were immediately rescued and taken to Suryabinayak Nagar Hospital for treatment, police said.
Due to the delay in the construction of the road, landslide from the palase section of Bhaktapur in the evening, the workers are working at risk due to the large cliff below the road and the passengers have been taking risky journeys.
