Kathmandu. Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Ceres has officially entered the Thai market with its Seres 3 EV SUV. The vehicle, which was fully imported from China, has been made available in the Thai market through Edison EV Company Limited.
The company has been appointed as the sole authorized distributor for Thailand by Chongqing Sokon Motor Import Export Company Limited.
Ceres 3 is available in two variants:
● Ceres 3 Comfort – Price; 6 lakh 70 thousand Thai bhat
● Ceres 3 Comfort Sunroof – Price: 6,99,900 Thai Baht
According to Edison EVK dealer network development manager Tanjira Puritputtifan, the company is preparing to set up a central showroom in Thailand and plans to expand the electric vehicle market with local partners. The company aims to open 30 dealers across the country by 2025 and sell 1,000 units within a year.
The move is expected to significantly support DFSK and Ceres’ plans to expand markets in Southeast Asia. Ceres aims to provide smart and sustainable technology-based electric vehicle solutions. With easy use, city-friendly facilities and affordable prices, Ceres 3 is expected to move forward effectively in the Thai market.
Ceres is available in five colors: white, red, blue, black, and gray. On the inside, there are two options to choose according to customers’ preferences– black and brown.
The launch in Thailand is seen as an important achievement in Ceres’ global EV strategy. With experienced partners like Edison EV, the brand aims to further strengthen its presence in the international market.
