Palpa. The second Tansen Festival in Palpa district headquarters Tansen has been affected due to wind and rain. The festival was affected due to wind and rain on Wednesday night.

While the program was being prepared on Wednesday, a sudden rain and windstorm caused a stampede at the festival. After the hailstorm, thousands of children and the elderly who had gathered to watch the festival were in a hurry.

The organizers were preparing to hold the cultural program today after postponing the rain. However, due to the strong wind and rain that hit at around 1 am on Wednesday night, the stage, stalls, entrance, fences, etc. built at the festival venue have collapsed.

Which has made the festival uncertain. Traders say that the wind has also blown away the goods of various stalls placed at the festival venue. The District Police Office, Palpa, has stated that the wind has caused damage worth crores of rupees.

Since the festival venue has been severely damaged due to the rain and wind, the organizer, Tansen Municipality, has made preparations to conduct the festival only by constructing a new structure. The festival was scheduled to begin on Chaitra 22 and end on Baisakh 3.
