Kathmandu. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that the country is currently experiencing partial influence of the westerly wind as well as the local wind, and the weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly parts and mainly clear.
According to the division, this afternoon it will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly parts of the country including the Sudurpaschim Province, and the weather will be mainly clear in the rest of the country. In addition, there is a possibility of light snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous parts. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly parts of the country. Additionally, light snowfall is likely at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions.
Similarly, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly parts of the country including Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces tonight, while the weather will remain partly to mostly clear in the rest of the region. There is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous parts of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
In the next 24 hours, the hilly parts of the country including Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces will be partly to generally cloudy, and there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly parts of the remaining provinces and light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous parts, the division has requested all concerned to take precautions as this may partially affect daily life, health, roads and aviation.
