Kathmandu | Chairman of Independent Power Producers’ Association Nepal (IPPAN) Ganesh Karki has threatened to shut down power houses if the government does not make provision of ‘Jhatech and Pay’ in the budget.
Chairman Karki said this at a gathering held in Kathmandu on Thursday against the provision of jhatech and peez PPA made public in the budget . TAG_OPEN_span_5 Speaking on the occasion, he threatened to shut down the power house and shut down the electricity without agitating on the streets.

He accused the government of trying to finish the private sector, which has produced 805 electricity in the country. He said, “There may be a situation of closure of the AUTHORITY if it is not allowed to produce. ’
According to him, the government’s policy of signing power purchase agreements (PPAs) through ‘take and pay’ method based only on the balance of production and consumption will have a serious impact on long-term energy development. TAG_OPEN_span_3
