Kathmandu. Kathmandu: A committee formed to suggest the price of medicines has submitted its report to Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel. Committee coordinator Dr Posh Raj Pandey, while presenting the report at a programme organized at the Ministry of Health today, said that suggestions have been made for price adjustment every two years.
Receiving the report, Minister Poudel said that the committee has been formed to adjust the prices of some medicines as it has been found that the prices of some medicines may have increased over time due to lack of in-depth study of the price of medicines for a long time.
Minister Poudel expressed the belief that the report would help in improving the quality, management and good governance of medicines as per the private secretariat of the Health Minister. Stating that he was active in creating an environment for getting medicines at reasonable prices, he expressed commitment to implement the suggestions received. Secretary at the Ministry of Health Dilliram Sharma stressed the need for active cooperation of all agencies under the Ministry of Health in the implementation of the report.
