Dailekh. Nepal Communist Party (NCP) General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ said that if the country is to be prosperous, emphasis should be placed on production.
‘The party has achieved its goal with one and a half years of production. We do not have to collect donations and eat,’ he said at a political meeting and tea party program in Dailekh today, discussing the steps taken to make the party self-reliant, saying, ‘If we want to make this country, we should emphasize production.’
He has claimed that his party leaders and cadres do not currently have a problem with food. He clarified that he is determined to end the culture of asking for donations. He said, ‘We have decided to bring the party to a state where we do not have to ask for donations. Now there is no need to ask anyone for rice.’
He said that his party, which arrived here on its way to community apple farming in Jumla, is working with the determination to produce and eat for itself and feed the poor even though it is not in power.
He committed the party to become self-reliant by planting rice in the Terai-Madhes, oranges in the hills, apples and herbs in the mountains, and go to the people.
