Kavrepalanchok. Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakash Man Singh has said that the rights obtained through the federal democratic republic should not be allowed to be shaken. Addressing the 44th foundation day ceremony of Banepa Municipality today, he said that the rights of the people should not be curtailed just because someone makes a speech.
‘If some shortcomings are found in the implementation and practice of the federal democratic-republican constitution, its methods can be changed, the system should not be allowed to be shaken just because someone makes a speech,’ he said. He said that if the constitution needs to be amended, he will move forward after discussing with all parties.
Minister Singh said that he will move forward by understanding the indicators of ‘global, regional and international’ practices on how to make it in the context of ‘smart city’ in the context of Nepal. Minister Singh informed that the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has shown interest in the reconstruction of the drinking water project in the three municipalities of Banepa, Panauti and Dhulikhel in Kavrepalanchok that were damaged by floods and landslides, and the ministry will take up the matter and expedite the construction.
