Kathmandu. Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the traditional festivals of all castes and communities prevalent in the country will contribute significantly to strengthening social harmony and national unity.
Issuing a message of best wishes today on the occasion of Gyalpo Lhosar, the cultural festival of the Sherpa community, he said that all Nepalis should take the lead in nation building by maintaining unity, harmony, brotherhood and respect in diversity.
Says that the customs, traditions and culture of various communities of our multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multicultural country are our original identity and valuable assets, he mentioned in the message that it is the duty of the state to protect the language, culture and identity of all castes and communities. .
He expressed his belief that Gyalpo Lhosar, celebrated as the New Year by the Sherpa community, will inspire everyone to maintain mutual cooperation, social tolerance, and economic progress.
