Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has claimed that an ordinance has been brought to make economic activities in the country dynamic. Inaugurating the administrative building of Suryabinayak Municipality in Bhaktapur on Monday, Prime Minister Oli claimed that 29 laws have been changed through the ordinance to improve the economic situation of the country.
He said that the cooperative sector is problematic when non-cooperative people enter cooperatives, and said that cooperatives can do big/major works by collecting small capital together. He said that the government is determined to provide business to the House in the winter session of Parliament.
He said that the government will focus on making laws in Parliament and amending laws, saying, “There has been a big fraud in cooperatives. Such a thing happened when non-cooperative people entered cooperatives. We still need cooperatives. We can do big works by collecting small capital together. We have to go that way. We have brought some ordinances to expedite some work. We have changed 29 laws. With that, we are starting work immediately. Until the ordinance is passed by the parliament, we can move forward with many things. The government is only in the business of making laws in the parliament and amending laws. The government gives business to the parliament. Parliament runs at a fast pace. Ordinances should be passed and new acts and amendments to laws should be brought.’
He said that some people are trying to topple the government by showing chocolates to a child, and now he has full support from the Nepali Congress. He said that the government is trying to recover since the country’s economy is currently in a weak state.
