KATHMANDU: CPN(UML) Chief Whip Mahesh Bartola has said that the rastriya swatantra party, which is evading the issues of the people by obstructing the parliament, cannot remain stuck in the working style of the party. He said this while talking to media persons after holding discussions with chief whips convened by Speaker Devraj Ghimire.
Stating that parliament cannot be made a state of indecision for a long time, he said the RASTRIYA Prajatantra Party (RSP) was not allowing the people’s issues to be raised in parliament. He argued that it was an insult to the martyrs to keep gheraoing the well even while keeping a condolence motion. He said that opposing the government business is justified, but opposing it even when there is a condolence motion has lowered the dignity of parliament.
Stating that it is not good to see indecent behavior and tendencies in the Parliament, he said, “We cannot always get entangled in their style of functioning, which keeps only such obstruction in parliament for a long time and continues with such intentions.” The House proceeds according to its statute.
