We are introducing a provision for Armed Police personnel to retire at 16 years: Home Minister Lekhak

Kathmandu. Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that the provision for Armed Police personnel to retire at 16 years will be included in the law of the Armed Police Force, Nepal.

He said this while addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 24th Armed Police Day at the headquarters of the Armed Police Force, Nepal in Kathmandu on Wednesday. Home Minister Lekhak announced in a few days that the provision for retirement at 16 years, which has been a long-standing demand of Armed Police personnel, will be included in the law.

He stated that the law was formulated by including the voices of all officers, including soldiers, and said that after becoming the Home Minister, he has been emphasizing on ensuring more effective, professional and professional development for the Nepal Police and the Armed Police through policy and legal stability.

Speaking at the program, Raju Aryal, Inspector General of the Armed Police Force of Nepal, said that the Armed Police Force is working to secure the international border.

He said that the organization is prioritizing the work of controlling smuggling and cross-border crime in the border area. He said that so far, Nepal has completed the repair and painting of 2,308 border pillars that need to be repaired.

He said that they are organizing regular meetings with the counterpart security agencies in the border area and cooperating with cordial organizational coordination. He said that the state’s border security guard alone will not be strong, and if the hearts, minds and trust of the citizens of the border area can be won and mobilized, they will also feel responsible for border security.

Inspector General Aryal said that the Armed Police Force personnel are working with the spirit of service, not a job. He mentioned that the Armed Police Force Nepal is conducting an Armed Police Force program with the border residents with the aim of engaging everyone in the campaign to win the hearts and minds of the citizens.
