Kathmandu. Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has called for a thorough investigation into the human trafficking case.
Sharma said this while talking to media persons at the Parliament House premises on Tuesday. He said action should be taken as per the law if there is any involvement at the top level of the government while investigating the visit visa case.
He said that the house was being impulsive by linking the case of the previous Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane.
“The person who has received the complaint. The complaint should be thoroughly investigated. If the current Home Minister, the ministers before that and the Prime Minister reach out to the prime minister while carrying out the investigation, then everyone should come under the purview of the law. ’
He said the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), which has constitutional authority, should be allowed to investigate rather than forming a parliamentary inquiry committee.
