Kathmandu. The US has decided to stop the MCC project. The US aid agency Millennium Challenge Corporation has informed the Government of Nepal through an e-mail dated 2081/11/2 that the MCC assistance has been stopped.
The MCC agreement was signed between the Government of Nepal and MCC on Bhadra 29, 2074. Activities related to projects being implemented under the MCC have been stopped. “The stakeholders are informed of the suspension in accordance with the Executive Order of the US President issued on January 20, 2025 regarding the 90-day suspension.” The Ministry of Finance said.
