Agency. US President Donald Trump and visiting French President Emmanuel Macron have agreed to establish a lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia.

But Macron has publicly rejected Trump’s claim. He said the situation was unfair to the United States in terms of how European allies provided aid to Ukraine. During a joint press conference after a bilateral meeting at the White House, Trump and Macron agreed with him on many important issues.

French President Emmanuel Macron said that many concrete steps had been taken in the discussions. He said that peace should not mean Ukraine’s surrender. He emphasizes that there should be no ceasefire without guarantees.

He said that it is necessary to have a peace agreement with security guarantees.
