He suggested that the private sector should be given the responsibility of operating the assets in these industries so that the shares remain in the name of the government. Similarly, Department Head Motilal Dugad expressed his appreciation for the government’s amendment of the acts through an ordinance.

He said, ‘The amendment has been made to solve the demands of the private sector and the problems related to the economy. We welcome that. We also want to thank the government for understanding the private sector’s position through the ordinance.’ He also said that since the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies is the talukdar ministry of the private sector, it will come here to solve all kinds of problems and discuss solutions.

He expressed happiness that the current government, including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Industry Minister Damodar Bhandari, has worked to accelerate the country. In the meeting, Minister Bhandari said that the work of preparing the budget is about to begin now. He said that he would move forward after understanding what the private sector wanted at that time and whether it was realistic or not.

He also questioned why the private sector did not come when there was a long discussion in the ministry reform program. He said that the private sector always welcomes the budget saying that it is good but later opposes it during implementation, which is a bad tradition. He also requested the UML’s Department of Industry, Commerce and Supplies to bring a suggestion letter for preparing the consultation on taxes to be given to the Ministry of Finance during the upcoming budget. Stating that the current government has done a very good job, he informed that it has solved the problems of industrial sectors and has even asked them to operate it in partnership with the private sector. Industrialist and businessman Kishor Pradhan and others had expressed their views during the meeting.

Pradhan also informed that capital is being flown away due to the fact that industrialists and businessmen are unable to survive in the recent past. He said that the government should pay attention to the deteriorating business environment. In this regard, CPN-UML’s Department of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Chief Dugad, who is also a former minister, has urged to improve the tax system for industries, from raw materials to finished goods. Similarly, the minister himself had said that the bodies of the industry ministries should be monitored. In this regard, Minister Bhandari informed that recently, action has been taken if a file is kept on a table in any body for more than 7 days. He said, “We are concerned about the issues of the general public and industrialists and are working to solve the problems and move the country forward.”

In today’s discussion, it has been agreed that Minister Bhandari’s team and industrialists will sit down and hold interaction programs to solve the problems, and discuss them in one office from time to time. In the process, Minister Bhandari has promised that he will always give time to solve legitimate problems and go to any place.
