Kathmandu. CPN (UML) Chief Whip Mahesh Bartola has urged the opposition parties to create an environment for Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak to respond to the visit visa issue in parliament.
Chief Whip Bartola made the request while talking to media persons at the Parliament House premises on Tuesday. Stating that any person should be allowed to answer after questions are raised, he said the resignation of the Home Minister was the second phase of the matter.
He said, “They raised questions about the Honorable Home Minister. He also asked for his resignation. He is also raising the issue of the inquiry committee. All this happened second. It is his natural right to stand in the House and answer. That’s also a right. This is also a parliamentary exercise. It’s also our custom. We have also urged the opposition to create an environment for the Home Minister to respond in parliament. ’
He said that a wrong precedent should not be set by not allowing the minister to reply in parliament after questions are raised on him.
