According to the report of the High Level Economic Reform Commission led by Rameshwor Khanal, the government has decided to merge Udayapur Cement and Hetauda Cement within the next one year. It has been decided to merge these two cement industries by DDA and give majority shares to the private sector.
Under this, the government has decided to issue a certain percentage of IPO.
The government has also decided to merge the two industries under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies and bring them into operation within a year. The government’s shareholding in the unified company will be limited to a certain percentage.
