Cpi had increased by 0.5 per cent in January and 0.2 per cent in February. Mainly due to a 12.7 per cent drop in the egg index, the index of meat, chicken, fish and eggs fell by 1.6 per cent in April after rising in recent months.
The index of meat, chicken, fish and eggs has increased by 7.0 percent in the last 12 months as the egg index has increased by 49.3 percent. The latest inflation report shows that the so-called core CPI rose 0.2 per cent in April after rising 0.1 per cent in March.
