Kathmandu. The traffic police have launched a ‘Two Minutes with Two-Wheeler Drivers’ campaign in the Budhanilkantha Municipality area today with the aim of spreading public awareness about traffic rules. The Budhanilkantha Traffic Police Office has informed that the program, which was started targeting two-wheeler drivers, will be conducted regularly every week.
Office Chief Birendra Bishwakarma said that under the program, drivers will be informed about traffic rules, safety standards and responsible driving. ‘Such an awareness program has been launched to reduce accidents and ensure safe road travel. If drivers drive responsibly and according to the rules, the chances of accidents will be greatly reduced. “We have started this program to spread awareness on similar topics every week,” he said. “The office plans to make this program more effective and inclusive in the coming days.”
Drivers participating in the program have also said that such informative efforts are useful.
