Kathmandu. The upper part of the Bagmati, which was clean until a few years ago, has recently become polluted. Locals have complained that the Bagmati below the Gokarneshwor Mahadev Temple has also become very polluted recently.

The Bagmati Cleanup Campaign has cleaned the dam below the Gokarneshwor Mahadev Temple on Saturday after the river started becoming more polluted. Campaigner Kishore Singh Shahi informed that two metric tons of waste were managed through the cleaning program organized on the occasion of the 615th week of the Bagmati Cleanup Campaign.

It has been decided to clean the area in front of Pashupati Ram Temple, from the banks of the Bagmati River to the Bhuvaneshwori Temple via Panchadeval, next Saturday.
