Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump has urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop the attack after the deadly Russian missile attack on Kiev. At least 12 people have been killed and more than 90 injured in the attack. Trump wrote on social media, “I am not happy with the Russian attack on Kiev. This is unnecessary and the wrong time. Vladimir, stop! Let’s make a peace deal.”

His special envoy Steve Witkoff is preparing to visit Russia soon and hold talks with Putin. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has also called on his allies to put more pressure on Russia, calling the attack “the most deadly and audacious” in history.

More than 70 missiles and 145 drones were fired at Kiev overnight. The Russian side, however, claims that the attacks were aimed at Ukrainian defense industry targets. The attack appears to pose a further challenge to Trump’s efforts to stop the war.
