Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump unveiled the first ‘Gold Card’ sold for $5 million on Air Force One on Thursday.

The Republican president, holding a photo of himself with a prototype and the words ‘The Trump Card’ on it, told reporters that the special visa will probably be available in less than two weeks.

“The exciting thing is that I’m the first buyer,” he said.

Trump has previously said that the sale of the new visas, a higher-priced version of the traditional green card, would create jobs and help reduce the US national deficit. .

The billionaire former real estate tycoon, who has prioritized deporting millions of undocumented immigrants for his second term, said the new card would be a path to highly prized US citizenship.

In February, he said his administration expected to sell “maybe a million” cards, and he did not rule out that Russian oligarchs could be eligible to buy them.
