Trump announced on Tuesday that the US will offer citizenship to wealthy foreigners under a ‘gold card’ for $5 million. Those foreigners will have the right to live and work in the US after paying $5 million. And the path to citizenship will be opened.
‘We’re going to sell the gold card,’ Trump said from the Oval Office. ‘You have a green card. This is a gold card. We’re going to put about $5 million in value on that card and it will give you green card privileges, as well as a path to citizenship. And the rich will buy this card and come to our country.’
Trump said that sales of the card will begin in about two weeks and that millions of such cards could be sold.
When asked if he would consider selling the cards to Russian oligarchs, Trump replied: ‘Yes, probably. I know some Russian oligarchs who are very nice people.’
Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick announced that the Gold Card will be an alternative to the EB-5 visas that the US currently issues.

The US has been running the EB-5 visa program to obtain citizenship since 1992.
In which foreign citizens must invest at least $ 1 million in the US and must have provided employment to at least 10 people. If Nepalis want to obtain US citizenship under the Gold Card Scheme, they will have to pay about 695.374 million rupees.
