Kathmandu. Us President Donald Trump on Wednesday ordered an investigation into Republican claims that there was a “conspiracy” to hide the decline in Joe Biden’s cognitive health while he was in the White House.
The move marks the latest in Trump’s long campaign to discredit his predecessor. This includes Republican politicians and their supporters in the conservative media. But it’s time for a growing group of Democrats to acknowledge that the former president appears to have fallen in recent years.
These concerns were clearly demonstrated by the performance of the disastrous debate with Trump in last year’s presidential campaign. In the debate, the then 81-year-old Biden stumbled upon his words and repeatedly lost his tendency to think.
“In recent months, it has become increasingly clear that former President Biden’s aides have misused the power of the president’s signature by combining autopens to hide Biden’s cognitive decline,” the presidential memorandum released on Wednesday said.
The American people purposefully avoided finding out who exercised executive power, while Biden’s signature was deployed in thousands of documents to effect radical policy changes. ”
Republicans have long claimed that Biden suffers from intellectual decline even as the White House advances key legislation and presidential orders. They cite his low public appearances, as well as his apparent reluctance to give interviews, as evidence of a man’s inability to act as commander-in-chief of the United States.
He insists that people around him will cover up his physical and cognitive decline, make decisions on his behalf, and allow them to run the country in his name using tools that can reproduce his signature. “The President’s counsel shall, in consultation with the Attorney General and the head of any other relevant executive department or agency… Some individuals will investigate whether Biden’s mental state has conspired to deceive the public and used the president’s powers and responsibilities unconstitutionally,” the document said.
The research will also look at “the circumstances surrounding the numerous executive actions biden is said to have performed during his final years in office (including) the policy documents used autopen (and) who directed the president’s signature to be pasted.”
Biden’s disastrous debating performance eventually derailed his re-election efforts, with prominent Democratic party figures calling for him to withdraw from the race soon. But just a few weeks later, after unsuccessful attempts to silence his critics, he withdrew his candidacy from the race and fielded his Vice President Kamala Harris. Harris eventually lost to Trump.
