Kathmandu. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has directed to expedite and organize preparations to celebrate Mahashivaratri in a grand manner.
Minister for Tourism Pandey, who reached Pashupatinath on Friday morning to inquire about the status of Mahashivaratri preparations on the eve of Mahashivaratri, has directed the Pashupati Area Development Fund to organize preparations to make Mahashivaratri grand.
He urged to make preparations more organized than in previous years so that devotees can easily visit the temple. He mentioned that Mahashivaratri is a great festival of Nepalis and since Pashupatinath is the one who introduces Nepal, Mahashivaratri is the day to take the glory of Pashupatinath to its peak.
He said that the more organized Mahashivaratri can be, the more its importance will increase.
He said, “This is a great festival that deserves great importance. Mahashivaratri is the day that introduces Nepal to Pashupatinath and takes the glory of Pashupatinath to its peak. The more organized we are, the better we are able to conduct that day. The more devotees who come from all over the country and abroad are happy and feel comfortable when they reach Pashupatinath on Shivaratri, the more its importance, the importance of Mahavisharatri and the importance of the country will increase. Our civilization and culture are also gaining fame in the country and abroad. Preparations are going on at a rapid pace. The work of painting is going on. This time, Shivaratri will be more organized, the devotees will be more satisfied.’
He informed that the Mahashivratri Main Celebration Committee will coordinate among itself and make arrangements for health and drinking water.
