Kathmandu. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has stressed the need to move ahead in a coordinated manner for its development and promotion as tourism is an important basis for the country’s economic prosperity.
Inaugurating a photo exhibition titled ‘Mountain Tourism: Our Pride, Our Identity’ organized by the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) here today in the context of the Republic Day 2082 BS, he underlined the need for policy and structural reforms to achieve prosperity in the country from the tourism sector.
Stating that the tourism sector has played an important role in nepal’s economic prosperity, Minister Pandey stressed the need for developing the integrated development of mountain tourism in a coordinated manner. He said that there was a need to move ahead on a policy basis for branding and promotion of the world’s highest peak Sagarmatha and other mountains.
Minister Pandey said, “It is imperative to develop Nepal as an attractive tourist destination of the world by branding the mountains which are not only geographical, natural and unique cultural diversity but also as unique adventure destinations.” I believe that the pictures displayed will help in developing tourism as well as spreading the message that something is happening in Nepal. ’
There are unique and unique tourist places in Nepal. He stressed the need for effective coordination and collaboration between the concerned bodies and ministries to attract tourists by preserving and promoting our natural heritages rich in natural and geographical diversity.
Minister Pandey pointed out the need for effective coordination between the inter-concerned bodies and the ministries for the development of integrated tourism. He expressed the belief that the Ministry would move ahead with a special plan for the promotion of tourist destinations and infrastructure development. “Rss has organized a photo exhibition on important issues. Stating that RSS has played an important role by displaying photographs along with news service, Minister Pandey said that the recent photo exhibition has alerted the concerned ministries and agencies.
“RSS has played a leadership role responsibly. Recent activities working on increasing responsibility and quality have confirmed the need to move forward with more effective coordination and collaboration in the coming days. I wish the photo exhibition success. ’
Earlier, Tourism Minister Pandey had visited the photo exhibition. Photographs taken on the topics of 8,000 meters high and above in Nepal, the mountains in the discussion, the life of the mountainous region, foreign high-ranking people who have reached the mountain range, mountain ranges, mountain destinations in the hilly areas, lakes, ponds, etc. are on display. Around 100 photographs taken by RSS reporters and published in RSS bulletins have tried to identify Nepal’s mountain tourism.
