Kathmandu. Life insurance companies have collected more than 126 billion rupees in total insurance premiums by the third quarter of the current fiscal year. The companies have earned a total insurance premium of 126 billion rupees by this period.
Nepal Life Insurance has collected the highest total insurance premiums during this period. The company has collected a total insurance premium of 33 billion 10 million rupees. Similarly, National Life Insurance has collected a total insurance premium of Rs 15.64 billion, while LIC Nepal Insurance has earned a total insurance premium of Rs 14.3 billion.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, in the first nine months, Himalayan Life Insurance has earned a total insurance premium of Rs 12.59 billion, National Life Insurance Company Rs 8.16 billion, Suryajyoti Life Insurance Rs 7.65 billion, and Asian Life Insurance Rs 6.46 billion.
Similarly, Met Life has earned Rs 4.44 billion, IME Life Rs 3.77 billion, Sun Nepal Life Rs 3.8 billion, Reliable Nepal Rs 3.69 billion, and Citizens Life Rs 5.8 billion. Rs., Surya Jyoti Life has earned a total insurance premium of Rs. 7.65 billion, Sanima Reliance Life has earned a total insurance premium of Rs. 4.84 billion, and Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life has earned a total insurance premium of Rs. 3.67 billion.
