Kathmandu. The country is currently under the influence of western winds. According to the weather bulletin issued by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, the weather will remain mainly clear in the rest of the country, including the hilly parts of the country, today, with partial rain.
Some places in the Terai will experience fog/mist, while there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly parts of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
Also, there is a possibility of light snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous parts of the country. Similarly, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country tonight, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to clear.
There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous parts of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces in the next 24 hours.
In addition, since there is a possibility of light snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous parts of the country, its impact may partially affect daily life, health, road and air transport, the department has requested to adopt necessary measures and precautions to avoid its possible impact.
