Kathmandu. Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Sharat Singh Bhandari has said that it is time to identify those who oppose development. He said this while inaugurating the paper factory brought into operation by ‘Nepal Pulp and Paper Industries Pvt. Ltd.’ in Mahottari on Thursday.
He said that those who obstructed the construction of the Pathibhara Cable Car were anti-development. He said that the Pathibhara Cable Car is a phase of development and that the locals are more concerned about its opposition than the locals.
He said that the locals should support the development work by dragging one issue aside and opposing it. Giving the example of the cable car in Mankaman, he claimed that the operation of the Manakamana cable car did not destroy religious beliefs and heritage, but rather promoted tourism and expanded trade and business.
He said that since development programs benefit local communities, they should be welcomed by the locals. Minister Bhandari informed that the main challenge of the country now is to use skilled labor force in the development and prosperity of the country. He said that it is necessary to connect skilled human resources in the development, prosperity and economic activities of the country. Keeping that in mind, the government is organizing a National Conference on Labor and Employment on February 26 and 27.
Minister Bhandari informed that the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security has organized the conference on February 26 and 27 to move forward as a decade of internal employment promotion.
