Three-star hotel Sarathi Pvt. Ltd. to issue 1.4 million units of IPO, Citizens Capital as sales manager

Kathmandu. Hotel Sarathi Pvt. Ltd. and Citizens Capital Limited have initiated the process of seeking regulatory approval for the purpose of issuing an IPO. The company is going to issue 30 percent of its issued capital, i.e. 1.5 million units of IPO.

The hotel’s Executive Chairman Pralhad Prasad Pyakurel and Capital’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sabir Bade Shrestha signed the agreement at a special ceremony held at Hotel Sarathi, Dhulikhel. The hotel’s directors, general managers, department heads and other employees were also present at the signing ceremony. Capital’s Merchant Banking Head Samiksha Nepal was also present at the same ceremony.

Hotel Sarathi will convert into a public company in the near future and issue 1.5 million units of ordinary shares worth 150 million rupees, which will constitute 30 percent of the issued capital. After the IPO, the company’s paid-up capital will reach 500 million rupees. Capital will convert Hotel Sarathi Pvt. Ltd. It will also help in converting from private to public. With this agreement, Hotel Sarathi will be listed on the capital market of Nepal within the fiscal year 2082/083. This will provide new opportunities for new investors to invest in companies in the hotel and tourism sector.

Established in 2072 BS, Hotel Sarathi is a three-star hotel located at Dhulikhel – 8, Resort Marg, Kavrepalanchok. It is going to be upgraded to four stars in the near future. There are 80 rooms in operation, including one presidential, 6 suites, 50 premium deluxe, 23 deluxe. There are 4 large and small meeting halls with a capacity of 20 to 400 people.

The seventh floor of the hotel building has a ‘Rooftop Infinity Swimming Pool’ There is a ‘with pool bar’. From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Langtang mountain range and Gaurishankar Himal. Arrangements have also been made to heat the swimming pool water in winter. A spa and fitness center have also been put into operation. #

Hotel Sarathi has been implementing the reuse of wastewater since its inception, keeping the environment in mind. The wastewater discharged from the hotel is treated in the Sewage Treatment (ST) facility located on the hotel premises. The plant processes the water in a 33,000-liter tank. The treated water is used in organic farming on the land owned by the hotel. l

The hotel prioritizes locally available food ingredients in its menu. Currently, more than 90 percent of the 73 people directly employed in the hotel are locals. Sarathi has also contributed to employment, skill development and professional capacity building at the local level.

The Sarathi Group includes Hotel Sarathi Pvt. Ltd., Sarathi Mart Pvt. Ltd., Sarathi Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, Sarathi Welfare Foundation, Himalaya International Academy, Dhulikhel Training Service Center Pvt. Ltd., Sarathi Ventures Pvt. Ltd., Sarathi Adventures Pvt. Ltd. and Sarathi Holidays. Showing its presence outside the district, Sarathi Group’s Sarathi Ventures Pvt. Ltd. has established Badreni Jungle Resort Pvt. Ltd. in Sauraha, Chitwan. has taken 65 percent shares of the hotel. The entire management of the resort is being done by Hotel Sarathi. The resort has been taken over by the Sarathi Group since January 2025. The hotel is spread over an area of 19 ropanis. A farm house, rope cycling, sports center, picnic spot and helipad are under construction on the vacant land and leased land. In the future, the hotel is preparing to expand its services and operate various adventure tourism activities such as trekking, rafting, bungee jumping, paragliding, cycling, camping, skiing, snow boarding, wake boarding, kayaking, zipline, and wildlife viewing.
