Karnali. Karnali Province Chief Minister Yamalal Kandel has suggested that those who preach to change society should change themselves.
Speaking at the ‘Youth Program on Policy and Governance’ organized by the Riti Foundation in Birendranagar, Surkhet on Monday, Chief Minister Kandel said that although it is easy to preach to change society, it is difficult to show it by changing oneself.
He suggested that the youth contribute to building a civilized society. Chief Minister Kandel said, ‘Youth should not share aversion to politics. They should take responsibility by increasing their sense of belonging. Instead of expressing disgust with politics, youth should work to improve political parties.’
Commenting that the era of politics based on muscle power and family ties is over, he said that if the youth can show excellent performance, the wrong leadership in politics will automatically be sidelined.
Kamal Raj Lamsal, chairman of the organizing organization, Riti Foundation, said that the youth will play a catalytic role in politics by facilitating the members of the Provincial Assembly.
