Golbazar. Six bridges have been constructed in Saptari in the nine months of the current fiscal year, while work on seven under-construction bridges has reached the final stage. According to Ashutosh Karna, Chief of the Road Division Office in Lahan, the ‘load test’ of the completed bridges is yet to be conducted. Bridge construction is continuing at a rapid pace to expand Saptari’s road network.
A bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 65.782 million in Devdhar, Shambhunath Municipality-11, and at a cost of Rs. 19.192 million on the Ghoddah River, Chinnamasta Rural Municipality.
Similarly, a bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 44.54 million on the Muttani River on the road connecting Kanakata-9 and Belhi-5, while a bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 48.563 million on the Ghoddah River in Saptari, which flows through Belha-6 and 5 from the Rajbiraj-Chinnamasta road. .
A bridge has also been constructed on the Khirkhauka River along the Rajbiraj-Chinnamasta Road in Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality-5. This was completed at a cost of Rs 54.22 million. A bridge was constructed on the Mahuli Ghadan River on the Rajbiraj-Kunauli Road at a cost of Rs 61.15 million, said Chief Karna.
The work on seven of the bridges under construction in Saptari has reached the final stage. The Lalapatti-Butanpokhari Bhalwahi Bridge in Chinnamasta Rural Municipality-1 has been completed at a cost of Rs 37.382 million.
Similarly, the work on the bridge being constructed by the same construction company over the Bhalwahi River in Visahariya-1 at a cost of Rs 36.274 million has reached the final stage, said Surendra Das, engineer at the Road Division Office.
Similarly, 80 percent of the work on the bridge under construction near the new settlement in Dudhaila River in Rupani Rural Municipality-6 has been completed at a cost of Rs 65.375 million. A bridge is also being built on the Muttani River between Fakaha and Bardahi. The Road Division Office has stated that the financial progress of the bridge is 83.58 percent, while the physical progress is 85 percent.
Similarly, the physical progress of the Dudhaila Khola Bridge in Rupani Rural Municipality-6 has reached 90 percent. The bridge is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 97.598 million. The physical progress of the bridge under construction on the Bhabarara River flowing through Shambhunath Municipality-9 at a cost of Rs. 47.531 million has reached 82 percent.
