The task force has started work to amend the Foreign Employment Act, it will be passed in the next session: Minister Bhandari

Kathmandu. Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, has said that the task force formed to amend the Foreign Employment Act has started its work. Speaking at a program organized to congratulate the newly elected office bearers of the Foreign Employment Professionals Association on Thursday, Minister Bhandari said that the work of amending the act has started with a view to passing it in the upcoming session of Parliament.

He informed that the act has been amended to make timely improvements due to many problems in the foreign employment sector. He said that the discussion of the task force to amend the Foreign Employment Act has started from today itself. Minister Bhandari urges foreign employment professionals to also carry out their business honestly. Stating that the Foreign Employment Professionals Association is a part of the government, he said that the government should facilitate rather than do business. He mentioned that citizens going for foreign employment are also suffering because of businessmen and said that everyone needs to be aware of this.

Minister Bhandari claims that the Nepal Rastra Bank is also taking necessary steps to provide collateral-free loans to workers going for foreign employment. He wished the newly elected office bearers of the association a successful tenure.
