Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has commented that the political parties that drafted the bill related to social media are the ones who are opposing it. He said that the parties that are obstructing it have prepared the draft bill related to social media.

Addressing the book launch ceremony titled ‘Rajesh Kaji Shrestha: Personality and Contribution’ in Kathmandu on Friday, he targeted CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and said that those who blocked TikTok yesterday should be allowed to speak now.

Why did he block TikTok from Chairman Dahal at that time? He also asked.

He said, ‘Some people sat with me yesterday and drafted the law. The parties in parliament that are currently making noise, talking loudly and opposing social media, especially the Maoists, sat with us yesterday and drafted the law. And they banned TikTok. Now a lot of support has come out again. They have jumped up saying that they should be allowed to speak. Why was TikTok banned then? We should speak the right thing, not just anything.’

He claimed that there has been a change not only in the system but also in the condition of the people, and that motorable roads have been extended to the headquarters of all 77 districts.
