Kamathamadu. CPN-UML MP Raghuji Pant has said that his party is committed to the implementation and protection of the current constitution. He said this while talking to reporters outside the Parliament building on Sunday. He said that everyone has the constitutional right to speak in Parliament.
He said that the Home Minister was not able to respond in Parliament regarding the incident that happened in Tinkune due to the opposition’s obstruction of Parliament. He alleged that the issue that the opposition has raised and obstructed Parliament has no basis or basis.
He stressed that the Tinkune incident took place under the leadership and direction of the former king and stressed that a clear and common view should be formed by discussing it in Parliament. He said that it was not appropriate for the opposition to disrupt the parliament by saying that the Prime Minister would come to answer in the parliament.
He said, ‘The CPN-UML is determined to protect the current constitution. It stands firmly in favor of implementing it. And since this constitution is to protect, develop and evolve, there is no question that the opposition should not be allowed to speak. But the opposition should also have the strength and basis for what it raised to speak. Such a big incident happened in Kathmandu on the 15th, should the Home Minister come to the parliament today and inform the country about that incident? The Prime Minister has already said that he will come tomorrow.’
‘It was not appropriate for the Prime Minister to disrupt the house like this by saying that he will come, let’s run the house, let’s seriously discuss the incident of the 15th. The constitution has been attacked, there has been an attempt to overturn the constitution. The priority should have been for the parliament to discuss and come up with a clear opinion on the incident that took place in Kathmandu on the 15th under the leadership of the former king and under his direction,’ he mentioned.
MP Pant claimed that the demand of the main opposition party that the Prime Minister should answer in Parliament is not in accordance with the constitution and the rules of the House of Representatives.
