Kathmandu. National Independent Party Whip Nisha Dangi has objected to the government’s delay in appointing the governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, who should be appointed according to the principle of meritocracy.

Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, MP Dangi objected to the government’s delay in appointing the governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. She also accused the government of being preoccupied with distributing posts rather than public safety, infrastructure and service delivery when the rainy season has already begun and the roads connecting the capital are unsafe.

She suggests the government not to waste time on the frivolous issue of division of roles. She mentioned that the people did not bargain for the share distribution.

She said, ‘It seems that the government has spent a long time to appoint the governor. The governor can also be appointed on the basis of meritocracy. And I would also like to suggest that the government should not waste its time on such frivolous matters. Because the rainy season has begun. The roads connecting the capital are unsafe. Millions of citizens are forced to travel at risk. The government should spend its time on this. It has been 10 months since the government has been stuck on the issue of the executive director and the governor. Now the people have found work. They have not looked into the issue of who will be given which post after the share distribution. ’

The opposition has been accusing the government of delaying the appointment of the governor due to the lack of share distribution.
