Kathmandu. CPN (UML) Chief Whip Mahesh Bartola has said that the budget for the upcoming fiscal year brought by the government was balanced and based on reality.

Responding to the budget for the fiscal year 2082/83 presented by Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel in the parliament on Thursday, Chief Whip Bartola said that the budget has tried to address the current economic situation of the country.

He also said that the budget is aimed at encouraging production and attracting the new generation towards innovation. Bartola argued that the government has brought the budget focusing on the plan to ensure the return of investment by exiting the tradition of distribution-oriented budget.

“The budget has been very balanced. The budget is based on the reality of today’s economy. The government has brought the budget by looking at the condition of swallowing bones by looking at the neck. The budget has encouraged production. The budget seeks to take into consideration how the Zenji generation can be linked to innovation and how it can be included in the country’s prosperity. And the government’s investment is trying to focus on return-oriented schemes. Our tradition of bringing a distribution-oriented budget has been demarcated and the budget has come within a certain limit. ’

He expressed the belief that the budget for the upcoming fiscal year would ensure economic prosperity in the country.
