He said that the constitution should be amended based on consensus among political parties, and noted that although the necessary political rights in a democracy are being enjoyed, the economic situation has not been strengthened.

Stateing that it is necessary to improve the economic situation of the country, he said, ‘It has been ten years since the current constitution came into effect. The constitution should be reviewed over a period of ten years, the strengths and weaknesses in the implementation of the constitution should be studied and identified, and the constitution should be amended or modified as needed. When talking about amending the constitution, we need to be clear on some issues. While amending the constitution, the basic features of the constitution, including the federal democratic republican system of governance with multi-party competition based on pluralism and inclusiveness, should not be weakened.’

‘The constitution should be amended on the basis of consensus among political parties. We have already started discussions on this. We should also move forward with dialogue, consensus and cooperation with other political parties. Ensuring democracy and a sound economy are necessary for the overall development of the country. “We are enjoying the necessary political rights in a democracy, but the economic situation has not been strengthened,” he said.
