The movie will hit the cinema floors from the first week of Falgun. The shooting of the movie will be done in Kathmandu and Dhankuta.
Speaking at the movie announcement program, Shekhar Golchha said that he was fed up with not seeing Nepali culture in the cultural programs presented at festivals held in the districts as the president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry. He said that he wished he had not attended such programs and that he gave the same message to the organizers, adding that the prosperity of Nepali culture and heritage lies behind making movies.
‘When I was the president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, I used to attend various festivals.’ There were programs that diluted our Nepali originality, and I always told the organizers, “If they want to organize programs that dilute our originality, don’t invite me, I won’t come because I was invited as the chief guest,” Shekhar said, “It seems like our originality has been lost in our movies too. That originality should come. If we copy other people’s cultures like that, it doesn’t seem like our originality will remain. There is a commercial reason for making this cinema, but somehow tomorrow there should be originality, there should be commercialism, there should be a corporate culture. So that all the artists involved in it are under a contract, get paid on time and everyone involved in it, we have come to this field with the idea of transparency in tax and other matters.’
Similarly, Ranjit Acharya said that although he set up a company in 2017 with the plan to enter the cinema, he could not start work due to the Covid pandemic during the preparations, and said that he would continue to make films with Nepali character and for Nepali audiences.
‘We had set up a company in 2017 to produce films, but the project has been moving forward since 2024. Now we will continue to make films with Nepali character. Acharya also said that there is a plan to get international film production companies to collaborate and invest in Nepal, and to collaborate to produce international cinema in Nepal.
The program was attended by superstar Rajesh Hamal, senior comedian Haribansh Acharya, artists Deepashree Niraula, Nisha Adhikari, Dinesh DC, Ashok Sharma, Krishna Malla, along with industrialists Pashupati Murarka, Saurabh Jyoti, Vidushi Rana, Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar, MP Asim Shah, QFX director duo Nakeem Uddin and Bhaskar Dhungana, and other businessmen.
It is said that Shivaram Shrestha will be the cinematographer of Biscope Cinema Pvt. Ltd., while Supreme Parajuli will be the color coordinator.
