Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chief Whip Gyan Bahadur Shahi has said that an account should be sought of the money received from the US under various titles. Speaking at the Finance Committee meeting under the House of Representatives on Thursday, Chief Whip Shahi said this.
He said that who and why brought the money that came to Nepal in the name of federalism should be investigated and action should be taken as the US President called it corruption. He said that Nepalis living in the US bowed their heads after the US President called the aid received by Nepal corruption, and claimed that this happened because of corrupt leaders.
He said that the governor should be called to the committee meeting and asked for a report, saying that foreign money cannot be brought in without the permission of Nepal Rastra Bank. Chief Whip Shahi satirized those who passed the MCC and claimed that they are reaching a point where they have to flee the country after the US showed them a cigarette. He claimed that Nepal’s money has also been invested in the MCC and it has reached a point of being wasted.
Says that Nepal’s economic system and planning schemes have been disrupted due to corrupt leaders, and he stressed that those involved in white corruption should be investigated and action taken.
