Kathmandu. National Independent Party MP Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has said that the policies and programs brought by the government have not been able to provide solutions to any problems.
Participating in the discussion on the policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year in the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, he claimed that the country cannot be built with the old style and old leadership anymore, and that the youth will build the country if the old style and old leadership do not become obstacles.
Alleging that the policies and programs have not been able to separate policies and programs, he said that the weak chain of implementation continues. He also claimed that there is no program in the policy and program that matches the thinking and nature of today’s youth.
He alleged that the policy and program are just a continuation of the status quo and that there is a lack of foresight and self-reliance in the policy and program.
He said, “I don’t think this country will be built in the old style with the old leadership. It is enough if it is not spoiled. The youth will build it themselves. Even if it is not an obstacle, the youth will build it themselves. It could not be distinguished between what is the policy and what is the program. It is just a continuation of the status quo, which lacks innovation and relativity. It was seen that the government was unaware of the economic recession, the young generation and the future, the policy and program came superficially. There was a lack of foresight and self-reliance. There was no clear blueprint. There has been a weak chain of implementation. This has not always been the end of the development process at the end of the fiscal year. The government does not have the capacity to spend. It should be able to create a spending system. The needs of today’s youth and the thinking of the world have not been included in any subject.’
He also said that there is a lack of prior preparation for natural disasters.
