Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden has said that the country’s situation has reached the worst situation of our time. Addressing an awareness campaign organized in Janakpur, Madhesh Province on Saturday, he said this.

He said that the country’s economy is in a very critical state and that it is a sad situation to have to take foreign loans as the revenue collected by the state is not enough to pay the salaries of leaders and employees. He said that the debt was 615 billion before the implementation of federalism, but in a decade the debt has increased to 2676 billion.

He said, ‘The country’s situation is in the worst situation of our time. And we are in the worst situation of our time. Currently, the country’s revenue or the amount of money the country collects is not enough to pay the salaries of leaders and employees. We have to take a state loan every month to pay salaries and allowances to employees and leaders. That being said, no matter how good the government’s economy is, this is what shows the state of the country. When our income is not enough to cover the country’s basic expenses, the country’s condition is good. Before the implementation of federalism, that is, before the promulgation of this constitution, the country’s debt was 6 trillion. In the fiscal year 2072/73, our national debt was 6 trillion 15 billion, and now our national debt has reached 26 trillion 76 billion.’

Speaker Lingden emphasized that the country’s situation is in a state of chaos due to various economic, political, and social reasons, and stressed the need to take timely precautions as the country is moving towards a failed nation.
