Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended his warmest wishes to all the workers at home and abroad on the occasion of International Workers’ Day. Expressing his wishes through social media, Prime Minister Oli said that society has survived and the country has progressed due to the sweat and dedication of the workers.
Says that he had to endure ridicule when he launched the contribution-based social security scheme for the social security of the workers a few years ago, and he rose above those negative voices and mentioned on social media that more than two million workers have benefited from the scheme.
Says that not only labor but also the future of the workers is secure, Prime Minister Oli said that we are succeeding in bringing these changes to the homes of the workers, such as the bright faces of their children and the carefree lives of their parents. Emphasizing the need to respect labor and workers, Prime Minister Oli, presenting himself as a worker, wrote on Facebook, ‘Today is May 1 – International Workers’ Day. The country has moved forward with the sweat of workers, society has survived with their dedication. When we launched the contribution-based social security scheme a few years ago for the social security of workers, we had to endure sarcasm and trolls. But today, rising above those negative voices – more than 2 million workers have gained confidence from this scheme. Now not only labor, but also the future of workers is secure. The bright faces of children, the confident lives of parents – we are succeeding in bringing these changes to the homes of workers. Let’s respect labor, respect workers. Hail workers, hail country!’
