Kathmandu. CPN(UML) lawmaker Surya Bahadur Thapa Chhetri has said that the Ministry of Urban Development has been seen as the most chaotic and shaky ministry in the budget allocation today. He said this during a discussion on the allocated budget in the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday.
Stating that attention has not been paid to raising the standard of living of the people, he said that small plans have been put in place and the country cannot move forward with the schemes named after his father. Stating that the tukre schemes should be dropped, he said that the schemes worth Rs 30 million should be implemented not only for the recommendation of the lawmakers but also for the federal appropriation.
Thapa said, “The Ministry of Urban Development is the most chaotic and shaky ministry today. No attention has been paid to raising the standard of living of the people. The country moves forward with small pieces and leaders’ plans in the name of their father. There is also talk in the market. Plans have to be broken. Plans worth Rs 30 million should be applicable not only to the recommendation of lawmakers but also to federal appropriations. If schemes of less than Rs 30 million have been allocated, then the Ministry of Urban Development, Tourism, Sports, Women, Children and Senior Citizens should not be implemented or stopped. ’
Lawmaker Thapa said that a limit of Rs 30 million has been set for the lawmakers to show it and he should not do what he wants to do.
